Leadership Styles and Organizational Agility Relationship in Science

Abstract
The aim of this study is to reveal the influence of multiple leadership
types on organizational agility. For this purpose, data is collected
through a survey and interviews from randomly selected 333 managers in
İzmir Dokuz Eylül Technology Development Zone. Mixed method approach is
used to analyze this study. The data obtained based on the sequential
explanatory, one of the mixed method design, was analyzed. Reliability,
correlation, explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, structural
equation modeling (SEM), path analysis and content analysis were
performed to reach the findings. Results show that transformational and
transactional leadership have significant while laissez faire has
insignificant influence on organizational agility. The quantitative
analysis results of the study are also supported by the qualitative
analysis results.
