Abstract

This study employs bibliometric analysis to investigate past and present research trends and to forecast future research areas in digital leadership. Using the bibliometric method, the study collected 1,299 scholarly articles from the Web of Science database. This study identifies the most influential publications, defines the knowledge framework, and forecasts emerging trends using co-citation and co-word analyses. These analyses identified four primary clusters for investigation. Research on digital leadership is gaining importance across disciplines, but more work is required to provide a more integrated view of the research landscape. This research offers valuable insights into the swiftly expanding field of digital leadership research. It sheds light on digital leadership research and provides an outlook on the field's prospective future development. This is the first study to establish a knowledge structure of digital leadership using a science mapping approach.
