Author ProfileAbstract
We use a broad range of material such as policy outlines, academic
literature, and journalistic research to look at the impacts of natural
disasters on critical infrastructures as well as on developments in
creating resilient infrastructures, focusing on examples in the United
States and Canada with a focus on a case study on Hurricane Maria in
Puerto Rico in 2017. This case study is based on a scoping review of the
academic and grey literature on Hurricane Maria, its impacts on Puerto
Rico and the response and recovery to the crisis.
