Abstract

With global e-commerce's rapid growth, cross-border e-commerce has begun driving international trade. To meet the demand for skilled professionals, higher education institutions have integrated cross-border e-commerce and logistics management courses into their curricula. However, scholars and educators still debate this integration's effectiveness. This systematic literature review summarizes the literature on the effectiveness of the new curricular integration, finding that it enhances students' learning, improves employability, increases engagement, broadens international perspective, and improves courses' industry relevance. However, the new curriculum faces a lack of a standardized curriculum and faculty expertise, limited resources, a rapidly changing landscape, and evaluation and assessment challenges.
