Torbjörn E. M. Nordling

Torbjörn Nordling is Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. in Automatic Control from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2013. Previously he as been a Senior Lecturer in Media Technology at the Department of Applied Physics and Electronics at Umeå University, Sweden and PostDoc at the Dept. of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology at Uppsala University, Sweden. Prof. Nordling's expertise is in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, and System Identification, which he apply in Economics, Material Science, Medical Technology, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology research. He has published more than 20 journal papers. Prof. Nordling is also a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and advisor to startups, with more than 15 active investments in U.S., U.K., Sweden, Israel, and Canada. His focus is on disruptive innovation.
