The 2018 Heat Wave’s Impact on the Mortality of Older People in Seoul, South Korea
The present study obtained daily counts of deaths data for Seoul between June and September 2018 from the Office of Statistics Korea. The mortality data included the date of death, address, sex, time of death, age, place of death, cause of death, marital status, and education attainment. The data were categorized by daily mortality rate, sex, marital status, and age in a total of 1,622 death samples. Then the selected data were classified by each date from June to September 2018, which produced a total of 122 cases.
