It thereby identifies the a newly focused theme of educational policy and administrative tool called Educational Deserts and Oasis, in the Indian context. This study emphasizes how the geographic reach of educational institutions particularly, the higher education institutions constitute economic and social development of a region which is largely dependent and thrives on educational benefits it usually receives.
