This study documented the experiences of persons with disabilities in the ten (10) cities/municipalities of Albay who have community- based organizing initiatives in order to provide a clearer picture of their present situation. Similarly, the study presented the cases and stories of the different disabled person’s organizations (DPOs) by looking into their experiences, challenges encountered, as well as strategies employed. By telling the stories, this research undertaking attempted to underline some fundamental strategies that can begin to chip away at the conditions and structures that exacerbate the issue.
